Xiyuan Bao just defended his PhD and he is currently a postdoc in our group. He is interested in the dynamics in the planetary interior, and the coupling of various “spheres” of terrirestrial planets as well as habitability. He utilizes state-of-the-art lab fluid experiments and numerical simulation to study the mixing and transport of mantle convection with unprecedented details.

You can find his CV here.
