Joost van Summeren received hus PhD in Geophysics under the supervision of Prof. R.D. van der Hilst (M.I.T.) and Dr. A.P. van den Berg (Utrecht University). Prof. Carolina Lithgow-Bertelloni was his postdoc co-advisor (50%) during 2009-2012.
